「教会のベンチに座って」 ～ 夕礼拝の帰り ～
夜が再び訪れる前に、ぼくは、闇と光の波打ち際を見つめていた
夕焼けの まばゆい閃光が、空いっぱいに広がり、
時が一瞬止まったように ぼくの胸を貫いた
神様は、時の流れに合わせて、新しい光の筆をふるう
神様が一緒だ
かつて恐れに満ちていた ぼくの心は、今は、穏やかに澄みわたっている
明日の愛は、芽を出し始めているかもしれない
琥珀色の輝きのすぐ向こうで
Before the sky turns night once more I gaze upon the shining shore.
An explosion blooms across the sky,
God paints new strokes as time walks by.
God is always with me.
Once it filled my mind with fear, but now my heart is calm and clear.
Tomorrow's love might start to grow, waiting just beyond the amber glow.

青年学生会
私は、安らぎが必要な時に行く場所は、金沢教会です。
礼拝堂に入ると、切り出したばかりの木のような香りのする風が私を迎えてくれます。
礼拝堂は、とても広いのに、独り言のささやきさえも聞こえるほどです。
床は、ガラスのように輝き、優しいはちみつ色をしており、
その上を歩くと、まるで礼拝堂の中を滑っているように感じます。
礼拝堂の隅には、特に冬、寒さを感じる人のために、教会の方々が用意してくださっている、
柔らかなネイビーの毛布とクッションが、行儀よく並び、使ってくれるのを待っています。
礼拝堂の2階には、どっしりと静かに座っているパイプオルガンがあり、
まるで天使の歌声のように礼拝堂全体を見守っています。
礼拝堂の正面には、大きく重い聖書が置かれた木製の説教壇があり、
いつも詩篇100篇が開かれています。
長い間そこに置かれているため、ページの色は黄金色に燃えています。
その背後には、天井近くに大きな窓があり、暖かな日差しが降り注ぎ、
説教壇は天国に繋がるような輝きで覆われています。
ページの香りが、光の流れに浮かんでいるのが見えます。
礼拝堂で過ごす時、私は、いつも神様を最も身近に感じます。
教会にいる方々は、その場所に抱いている愛と讃美を感じることができ、
私にとってそこは他のどの場所よりも故郷のように感じられます。
My favorite place to go, whenever I need comfort, is the chapel in my hometown.
When I enter the chapel, I am greeted by a rush of air that smells like fresh wood that has just been cut.
The chapel is so big that I can hear my voice talking to myself.
The floor shines like glass and is a gentle honey color.
Walking on it can feel as if I was gliding through the room.
In the corner, there is a pile of soft,
navy blankets and cushions prepared by the people at church for those who feel cold,
especially in winter.
In the back of the room, is an enormous pipe organ sitting on the second floor that observes the whole room,
guarding it like a singing angel.
When it plays, it hugs the room in soothing, whistling music.
Finally, in the front of the room is a wooden pulpit with a big and heavy Bible
that is always laid open to the verse Psalms 100.
The page has been sitting there for so long that the color of the page has faded to a golden hue.
Behind it is a large window on the ceiling,
where a warm stream of sunlight comes down and envelops the pulpit in a heavenly glow.
I can see the sprinkles of dust from the pages floating in the stream of light.
I always feel closest to God when I spend time there.
I can feel the love and music that the people at church have for the place,
and it feels more like home than any other place ever has been to me.
